Learning to dive is about diving. So during this course, your introduction to the underwater world of Koh Tao, we take you on four training dives under instructor supervision to develop a feeling for diving, and shallow water sessions in both swimming pool and ocean bays.

Before we take you on your training dives we spend time in the swimming pool and the shallow water of one of our bays, allowing you to get familiar with the equipment and a few basic skills. We will spend more time in the water with you, recommending that you complete a four day course. The clear, calm waters of Koh Tao help develop confidence with a few basic skills and realize that you can breathe underwater.

This course also introduces you to the basics of diving theory. But don't worry. It's not like going back to school. Buddha View knows that you're on holiday, so we employ a complete system of teaching tools: manuals, videos and CD-ROM interactive learning, to make your time in the classroom fun and efficient. This gives you more time in the water, where you want to be on your holiday.

Completing the Open Water course gives you a certification card valid around the world You will receive discounted accommodation during your training and are entitled to the Buddha View Diver Privilege Card that gives you discounts on dive equipment, dive courses and tours around the world
