Marine Resource Management Specialty This is for dive professionals or people from leadership levels in related fields. MRM looks at basic reef ecology and how our actions as dive professionals' effect the health of the world's aquatic ecosystems. We look at how to manage aquatic ecosystems with community-based involvement and environmentally responsible education, focusing primarily on coral reef systems and the preservation of Koh Tao's marine environment. Because of the importance of this knowledge to the health of the Koh Tao dive industry this specialty is offered free by Course Director Mark Soworka to all Buddha View IDC candidates and divemaster trainees. All others are welcomed for the day long seminar. The course is conducted in conjunction with instructor development courses.
